DISTANCE LEARNING TECHNOLOGIES: THE RESEARCH OF STUDENTS’ INFORMATION NEEDS
Abstract
The article presents the results of the research of the students’ information needs at three Novosibirsk universities. The research includes the survey of the students of the distance education.
Opportunities of students’ access to information, their preferences regarding types of information editions and technologies of supplying information are evaluated. Existing restrictions and obstacles are revealed. The list of measures of improvement of the quality of the information support is defined. Basic directions of improvement of libraries activities of the higher educational institutions using distant learning technologies of training are defined.
