APPLIED USE OF PORTFOLIO ANALYSIS METHODS

Abstract

Design of development concepts and  plans  achievement strategies is based on a manda- tory preliminary typologization of not only regions of the country or economic agents, but also positioning if the  country among other countries. Therefore, the  role  of typological grouping in the  development strategies generation greatly increases. Portfolio analysis  is one  of the methods of typologization of economic agents. It is understandable to a large  set of decision making people. Portfolio analysis  in business environment is a tool of comparative analysis  of strategic business units  of company for the purpose of determination of their relative priority at distribution of investment resources, as well as obtaining of typical  strategic recommenda- tions  as a first  approximation. Portfolio analysis  is also  an important development phase of marketing strategy.
