CYCLICITY THEORY IN ECONOMICS AND DEMOGRAPHY
Abstract
The article considers the system of economic and demographic cycles. A definition of the «cycle» term is given. Cycle types are described. Much attention is given to the influence of N.D. Kondratyev on the working-out of the cyclicity theory. The concept of demographic waves as well as the value of works of A.Ya. Kvasha and B.S. Khorev in the research of this phenomenon are considered. The issue of the medium-term demographic cycle duration is brought. The conjuncture theory being the logical extension of the «crises theory» – «cycles theory» – «conjuncture theory» is described.
